Too many stickers of one colour
A cube has exactly 9 stickers of each colour. If the scanner counts 10 of one, another colour has only 8, so one sticker was read as the wrong colour.
How to find it
- Note which colour has too many and which has too few. Red and orange are the usual pair, especially under warm light. White and yellow in dim light come next.
- On the Check step, look over the stickers of the colour with too many. Find the one that's really the other colour.
- Pick the right colour and click that sticker.
Common mistakes
- Rescanning in the same light. If the light caused the mix-up, move to daylight or face a window and rescan that face. See Scanning tips.
