# Step 6: put the yellow corners in place

The top is all yellow. Now look at the **sides** of the top layer. Each corner has to end up between the two side centres that match its colours.

## Find the headlights

Look at the top row of each side face. If a side has its **two corner stickers the same colour**, those two corners are "headlights".

The middle sticker between them doesn't matter, and the headlights don't need to match the centre below them.

## The algorithm

```
R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2
```

### If you can see headlights

1. Turn the top until the headlights are on the **back** face.
2. Do the algorithm.
3. Turn the top: the corners should now all line up. If they don't, do the algorithm once more with the headlights at the back.

> 3D demo, Headlights at the back → corners in place: `R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2`

### If there are no headlights anywhere

1. Do the algorithm once from any side. Now you'll have headlights.
2. Turn the top to put them at the back.
3. Do the algorithm again.

> 3D demo, No headlights → algorithm, headlights to the back (U), algorithm: `R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2 U R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2`

## Common mistakes

- **Headlights on the front, not the back.** Turn the top first.
- **Doing `B2` the wrong way round.** It's a half turn of the back. Either direction works, but don't do a quarter turn.
- **Checking the edges too early.** The top edges may still be in the wrong places. That's the next step.
