# Too many stickers of one colour

A cube has exactly 9 stickers of each colour. If the scanner counts 10 of one, another colour has only 8, so one sticker was read as the wrong colour.

## How to find it

1. Note which colour has too many and which has too few. **Red and orange** are the usual pair, especially under warm light. **White and yellow** in dim light come next.
2. On the Check step, look over the stickers of the colour with too many. Find the one that's really the other colour.
3. Pick the right colour and click that sticker.

## Common mistakes

- **Rescanning in the same light.** If the light caused the mix-up, move to daylight or face a window and rescan that face. See [Scanning tips](https://scanmycube.com/help/scanning-tips).
